Elaine Mehlberg, M.S., CCC-SLP, Owner/Director Speech-Language Pathologist

Elaine Mehlberg, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a Virginia state licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.  She is also certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and is a member of the Special Interest Group on Teletherapy. Mrs. Mehlberg completed a Bachelor's of Science in Audiology and Speech Sciences; a Bachelor's of Arts in English; and a Master's of Science in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from Purdue University the leading University in research and clinical training for speech therapy in the United States. 

Mrs. Mehlberg has worked in a variety of settings including: school based, non-profit outpatient rehabilitation, and private practice.  She enjoys working with both children and adults.  Areas of personal expertise include speech sound articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and adult neurological impairments that affect speech and language functions.  She lives in Leesburg, VA with her husband and three children.  She enjoys reading, fitness, cooking healthy meals, and enjoying Virginia's beautiful landscapes.

Kristin Wallner, M.A., CCC-SLP Speech-Language Pathologist

Kristin Wallner M.A., CCC-SLP, graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology.  She received her Masters of Arts Degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland. Mrs. Wallner is licensed by the state of Virginia as a speech-language pathologist and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Hearing Association (ASHA).  She has also completed training in Orton-Gillingham and Phono-Graphix which are both structured phonetically based programs that help to strengthen phonological awareness and reading skills.  

Mrs. Wallner has 10 years experience working as a speech and language pathologist, and over 20 years experience working with children. She has worked in private practice, private school, including The Lab School of Washington, and for Loudoun County Public Schools.  She has also gained valuable experience as a mother of triplets. Mrs. Wallner’s specialized areas of expertise include speech sound articulation, receptive and expressive language, learning disabilities and literacy.  She greatly enjoys working with children to improve their speech and language skills.  Mrs. Wallner lives in Ashburn with her husband, three children, and two dogs. She enjoys running, swimming, and teaching swimming to adults and children.
